Many single people we know think that they haven’t found a soul mate yet because God doesn’t care about them. They may even think He is punishing them for something they did wrong in the past. Nothing could be further from the truth! Whatever the reasons may be for your not being married, it is not because God doesn’t love you or because He doesn’t want to give you good things. A biblical mindset believes the exact opposite.
Savor these scriptures on God’s love and generosity for you:
“I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
I have loved you with an everlasting love. (Jeremiah 31:3)
Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us! (1 John 3:1)
God does love you and want you to have His best. He has so many good things in store for you in this world and the world to come. In all likelihood, one of the good things He wants to give you in this world is a loving spouse. But to be ready to receive that gift, you first have to believe that God wants to give it. You have to believe what Scripture says, not what your worst imaginings suggest.
